Programme Green Key

The programme Green Key was created to reduce the impact of the growth in tourism in the various communities as well as on the environmental resources. In 2011, the international prize distinguished the rural areas of “Quinta do Martelo” (Angra do Heroísmo), the Casa da Torres (Lajes do Pico), the Casa do Ouvidor (São Roque do Pico) and the apart-hotel Baía da Barca (Madalena do Pico).
