Azores in the European Network of protected Ecological Areas

The Natura Network 2000 is an ecological network for the preservation of the biological and ecological diversity of the Member States of the European Community. In the Azores, the network is quite wide including 23 Special Preservation Areas, 15 Special Protection Areas and 2 Important Locations of the Community.
