Museum of São Bartolomeu dos Regatos This museum is located in the former dairy Esperança. It is still possible to admire the old kitchen and traditional ovens, representing the former daily life of the parish of São Bartolomeu.
Museum Vulcanoespeleológico Machado Fagundes This geology museum displays several materials and information on volcanic caves, as well as pictures and examples of the Azores protected sites.
Nordeste Museum Opened in 1898, this museum has an interesting collection of pieces and tools from the local ethnography (agricultural tools, utensils used in the traditional home slaughtering of pigs, etc.).
Peter Café Sport World famous amongst sailors, it opened in 1918 and is a cosmopolitan meeting point for people from all walks of life, including whalers, telephone technicians, seamen and even secret agents.
Porto Formoso Tea Factory The island of S. Miguel has the only two tea plantations in Europe for industrial purposes, namely in the north coast. Porto Formoso Tea Factory is one of those factories that not only produces tea, but also preserves the memories of tea production in the Azores islands from the very beginning to the last quarter of the 19th century. It is thus a museum that organises guided visits any time of day within the given schedule. Afterwards, guests are invited to taste several tea varieties in the beautiful room that depicts a typical kitchen of S. Miguel or in the terrace, offering a magnificent view over the tea plantations and Porto Formoso town. Every year in Spring, tea picking ritual is recreated with the typical old-fashioned outfits.
Ribeira Grande Municipal Museum Located in the old São Vicente Manor House, its estate consists of ethnographic collections and tiles, with special emphasis going to the Nativity Scene of the Lord Prior, enriched with figures and props from 1920 to 1973.
Santa Maria Museum Set up in a former rural house from the 20th century, the museum is made up of a collection of furniture, and traditional housing utensils from the island as well as a section on everyday life.
Scrimshaw Museum This Museum presents an interesting collection of whale and sperm whale which have been sculptured and recorded, with the most diverse reasons, by the skillful hands of the fishermen of the Island.
Urzelina Rural Exhibition Center In addition to providing ethnographical information on the island, this center exhibits several pieces, including pieces related to agriculture and flax production.
Velas Sacred Art Museum This museum displays a large collection of religious statues and silver pieces.
