São Jorge Park’s House The São Jorge Park’s House was housed in the building of the old Primary School of Norte Grande and intends to show visitors the different valences of the Natural Park. It has a permanent exhibition called "Tesouros do Parque” (Park Treasures), with a map of the island with information about its different protected areas classified by the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) and several information supports about the Natural Park, including themes such as geology, biodiversity and heritage. In the main room is a children area with educational games about the Azores and the environmental awareness. There is also a multimedia area which provides information about the Ramsar Sites and sounds of nature, as well as a photography exhibition of São Jorge Protected Areas by Paulo Henrique Silva. End the visit in the auditorium, viewing several documentaries about Whaling and Fajãs de São Jorge.
Serra de Santa Bárbara Interpretation Centre The Serra de Santa Bárbara Interpretation Centre (CISSB) aims to be the starting point for the understanding of the natural heritage of Terceira Natural Park. Here visitors will experience the geomorphological process of formation and evolution of the island and its relation to areas of high interest in terms of bio and geodiversity. Visitors also have the opportunity to "travel" to the past to understand the influence of the human interaction with the environment, with emphasis on the use of the areas that currently are part of the Park. It also provides support information to visit and discover the Natural Park.
Virtual Centre for Marine Interpretation The Virtual Centre for Marine Interpretation (CIMV) is located in the old Porto Pim Whaling Factory and allows visitors to take a virtual trip up to a 3000-metre depth to experience the different coastal and ocean environments of the Azores.
Volcanological and Geothermal Observatory Dissemination centre for vulcanological and geoenvironmental sciences, which among others, deals with issues related to the geodynamics of the Atlantic.
Whaler Boats’ House The Whaler Boats’ House was an extension of the Porto Pim bay Old Whaling Station and was recovered by the Capelo Parish Council in 2011. It is located in the Porto do Comprido, the most important whaling station of Faial Island. The House has a whaler boat and an exhibition that allow the visitor to discover and relive the work conditions of one of the most dangerous and heroic jobs in the Azorean tradition, essential not only for the family’s economy but also for the island’s industry.
