São Miguel Island

São Miguel Island is the new destination for big events. It provides quality accommodation in a large scale, as well as all the services needed, top technology and great areas for holding big events. Teatro Micaelense - Cultural and Congress Centre provides up to 1200 seats, while the traditional Coliseu Micaelense provides up to 1700 seats. The modern pavilion of Portas dos Mar, facing the marina, has around 4000 square metres and it can host up to 3000 people. In the mystical environment of Horta city, there is Teatro Faialense, a multipurpose and qualified area for medium sized meeting and events, providing a 300-seat room for cinema and theatre and a small auditorium with 73 seats. In addition, there are quality hotels which offer not only 4-star accommodation, but also a wide range of areas for meetings and events up to 300 people. An unexpected but interesting place for meetings is certainly the auditorium of the Capelinhos Volcano Interpretation Centre.
